I know everyone was gaga about the role Beckerman played vs Nigeria but I don't buy it. I still see him as too slow for this level and for this opponent. And putting him out there sets us up way too defensively for the one game in the group we have a chance to take any initiative at all. The rest of the lineup picks itself. The options on the bench are quite uninspiring, especially if it's a winger who needs to get the hook. That Donovan chap could've come in handy.
