Although it is unlikely that anyone will mistake Bruce Arena for Steve Kerr, it'd behoove him to adapt his team's style of play. The names of the games may be different but the NAMES of the games are the same: pace and space. To break down the stingy back line of Jamaica the US will need quickness and technique (Ariola), a tireless speed merchant to stretch the oppositions shape (Morris), and a physical presence to win balls and harrass centerbacks (Jozy). Acosta in the middle with Bradley assures there will always be cover for the back there and service to the forwards. The chemistry Villafana and Nagbe have developed, along with their quality, will be vital if the US hopes to create gaps for through balls and crosses into the box. We need to be on the front foot in this match from kick off. High line, intermittent heavy press and constant runs on the flanks.
