First names on the team sheet, in order, are Howard, Bradley, Altidore, Gonzalez, Nagbe, Acosta, Villafana. I feel like those are pretty easy considering their performances, and for the newer faces like Nagbe/Acosta/Villafana, there's not much competition at their position with as much upside. The next group are the players needing a "final audition"; Morris, Arriola, Hedges, Lichaj. I'd like to see all of them on the WC qualifying squad due to their age and upside, but they have to prove they deserve a chance over steady veterans like Zusi and Besler, or other upside players like Dwyer and Birnbaum. If you add the normal starters like Johnson/Wood/Yedlin/Brooks/Cameron/Pulisic and the veteran backups like Dempsey/Zusi/Guzan/Beasley, plus another FWD backup like Dwyer, and another MF backup like McCarty, I would be happy with that 23 man WC squad.
