It’s hard to figure out what lineup Arena might go with tonight considering how he jumbled his lineups throughout the group stages mostly because he wanted to see all players due to the short rest between matches & quick turnaround. So I wouldn’t be surprised to not see Dempsey start tonight. But you would assume Arena would put the best Starting XI on the field tonight, but who knows.
I don’t think we will see Jesse Gonzalez start tonight & be Howard getting the start as the keeper.
Lichaj should be starting at RB as the Zusi experiment is and should over for Arena as his skill set doesn’t blend with the type of play of the national team.
Now that Bradley has been added he will likely pair up with Acosta in the CM & will be interested to see how this pairing works with one another after playing so well versus Mexico last month.
Nagbe will likely be on the right wing position with either Arriola or Zardes on the left side.
Dempsey & Altidore up top as we have seen a lot of, but personally I would rather see Morris or Agudelo playing up to with Jozy & rather see Dempsey come off the bench in the second half if needed.
All that being said I am going to go with a surprising Arena versus Mexico type lineup with Arriola coming in for either Nagbe or Zardes, Morris coming in for Altidore & Dempsey coming in only if needed for Acosta but, likely McCarty or Corona taking Acosta out.
