The USMNT has a glut of good Center Backs, and our fullbacks are really best suited as wing backs. This makes me think the best formation for the USMNT is a 3 man back line with wing backs. This solves the problem of Zusi and Villafana who aren't good 1v1 defenders, but have great service and attacking instincts.
