Johnson and Yedlin would have to be a little conservative going forward than if the JJ/MB/KB trio were to be in there, but that's ok because this is a very dynamic front 6 that can create width and opportunities on their own.
Jones would have to track back, but he's a horse and has a tendency to play outside of the formation, as is. MB has moments where he looks like a world class #6. He's mobile enough to provide cover for a VERY athletic back 4. Find me a back 4 who can cover more ground than Johnson, Brooks, Cameron, Yedlin.
IMO, Nagbe, Pulisic, and Wood's inclusions speak for themselves. And, I think Dempsey's should as well. He's such a dynamic second forward. His feints and flicks provide the perfect opportunity to counter, provide service into a world class speedster in Wood.
