It's time to move on. I'm sick of hearing about the lack of talent in the United States. The talent is there. The coaching isn't. Put young players at their natural positions and see them thrive. The only players I want from the 2014 World Cup on this squad are Omar Gonzalez, who is still the best center back in America (or at least the most capable on most occasions), Deandre Yedlin and Michael Bradley. I want speed from my overlapping fullbacks. That's why Yedlin and Shea are back there. Carter-Vickers is going to be world class. Why not have him ready to go in 2018 when he'll be 20? I can see many players swap with Gonzalez, but he's my choice for now. Play Bradley and Williams together and allow Bradley to be a box-to-box guy. Bedoya, Zelalem and Lleget give the attacking midfield skill, which the current setup of Zardes and Yedlin has failed to provide. Zelalem is going to be a star as well. At forward, why not play Aguedelo? Many others can play there. Bobby Wood, Zardes, Johannsson... But the U.S. definitely needs a change. And Bill Hamid is keeper because it'd be nice to have one who wasn't set to retire in the next three years.
