The key to the US' recent winning streak has been a much-improved ability to hold the ball so having as many possession-oriented mids as possible is going to be a key, ESPECIALLY versus CONCACAF teams that will likely be packing things in. Hence, Diskerud and Bedoya who will pinch in a lot, start next to Bradley while Beckerman does the grunt work behind them.... Up top Dempsey and Altidore are the best US forwards until someone proves otherwise... With this midfield, pace and width has to come from the fullbacks and Chandler and Johnson can provide that while centrally Brooks and Gonzalez give the US aerial dominance on both sides of the ball.. In goal, as well as Rimando has played, this is Brad Guzan's time.
