The combined lack of fullbacks and wide midfielders compels a 3-5-2. In the back, you have Besler, as the experienced rock surrounded by new (in Jones's case to his position) players getting a chance. Maybe some will be the future, maybe not. I really want to see how the center trio of Mix, MB, and Nguyen work. The hardest choice was who to start on the left--I don't love any of the options, but at least 1 (more if the US plays another formation) has to start. Ibarra has been very productive against weak competition, so he gets a chance to make a big step up. Up top, Jozy and Clint make a good contrast of styles. I would hope to see extended periods of Zardes and Wood, as well.
