To me, this should be the starting XI against Portugal and Germany. Rest some of these guys against Ghana, because they'll need it. Howard is our only true World-Class Player. Johnson and Chandler are clearly our best outside backs - PLEASE play them on the correct side of the pitch. I would rather see Cameron starting alongside Gonzalez. I think Gonzalez gives you that extra something in the air, and Cameron is even more stable than Besler at CB. Bradley is our metronome, not our playmaker. Let the kid do his job instead of forcing him up the pitch just because we want him to look sexier in the highlight reel. Davis needs to start on the left. He is not an impact sub, and we'll need him to take our set-pieces. Zusi is facing real competition from Bedoya - either one works for me, but Zusi is still my first choice. The Deuce/Altidore/Johansson triangle is the masterpiece on this lineup. This whole formation is a ploy to get our best players on the field together at once. Deuce likes to fall deep in the midfield. So let's let him do that instead of pushing him higher. He's better with long range shots than anyone. Altidore plays the best hold-up play, and Johansson has the best footwork/finesse on this team. I could definitely see this triangle tearing even Portugal's and Germany's defense apart.
