It's time to recognize that holdup play is not simply about physical strength. ArJo's quickness and ability to get into pockets of space can help him hold the ball up better than the current Jozy can. And an ArJo + Clint combo could be lethal with their ability to dribble and play quick interchanges. I've long doubted Beckerman, but I'm starting to realize that players like Busquets, Alonso, and Schweinsteiger get away with similarly questionable pace. He's obviously not at their level, but he can be the USMNT's version and do a fine job. Oh, and Jurgen, stop playing around with the back line.
