The United States national team coach will bring upward of 30 players into camp before matches against Ecuador and Honduras. Who should he call? Here's who deputy editor Noah Davis would take.

Editor's note: ASN writers will offer their thoughts on the upcoming camp rosters over the next few days.

Let's do this. Share your thoughts in the comments and/or create your own Starting XI for the Ecuador match with our custom widget.

Goalkeepers (4)

Brad Guzan—There can't be any debate here, can there?
Nick Rimando—Real Salt Lake only has one game during the stretch and Rimando needs to be in the U.S. camp if he hopes to push Guzan for the No. 1 jersey.
Cody Cropper—He's the future.
Clint Irwin—Anything other than the typical Bill Hamid/Sean Johnson tradition. Irwin hasn't been as good this year as he was last, but let's see what he can do.

Defenders (9)

Fabian Johnson—Klinsmann tapped him as a leader for the next cycle.
John Anthony Brooks—He's either been banished or demoted at Hertha Berlin. Maybe a shot with the national team will fix what ails the World Cup hero.
Matt Besler—The center back has struggled since returning from Brazil. Turnaround time?
DaMarcus Beasley—The Chicago Fire are out of the playoffs and Beasley can provide some leadership. (Note: Of course, he plays for the Dynamo, who are in the midst of a playoff race. But the part about the leadership remains.)
DeAndre Yedlin—Seattle won't like losing him during the Supporters' Shield push, but the right back should be in camp.
Omar Gonzalez—Klinsmann can argue that the Sounders and the Galaxy will be hurt equally by departures.
Tim Ream—Give him a chance, Klinsmann.
Robbie Rogers—Robbie Keane thinks he's the left back of the future. Does the American manager?
Timmy Chandler—The more Chandler, the better.

Midfielders (10)

Jermaine Jones—He's still the heart and soul.
Michael Bradley—See above.
Alejandro Bedoya—He'll be a fixture as the cycle goes on and needs to be in as many camps as possible.
Graham Zusi—Another tough loss for SKC.
Mix Diskerud—Klinsmann continues the "Make Diskerud tougher" campaign.
Joe Corona—The midfielder continues to work his way back into the fold.
Lee Nguyen—A deserved call for the potential MLS MVP.
Emerson Hyndman—More of him.
Perry Kitchen—Ditto.
Miguel IbarraSure? (Or not.)

Forwards (6)

Jozy Altidore—It's not like he's doing much at Sunderland, League Cup goal aside.
Clint Dempsey—Obviously.
Landon Donovan—He won't miss his own send-off game.
Joe Gyau—Too much talent to leave in Europe.
Andrew Wooten—Four goals in four games? Good enough for me.
Gyasi Zardes—Welcome, young one.
