In this ASN / TSS podcast, Daryl Grove previews the Vancouver Whitecaps 2014 season with Michael McColl of CanadianSoccerNews.com. Vancouver failed to prevent 2013 MLS Golden Boot winner Camilo Sanvezzo defecting to Mexico but McColl says that's OK, because 20-year-old American striker Omar Salgado is primed to shine. All 6'4" of him.

McColl is less enthusiastic about the return of aging captain Jay DeMerit (though could he perform any worse than Oguchi Onyewu and John Brooks managed for the U.S. against Ukraine?) but has full faith in first-time head coach Carl Robinson, who was promoted to the big job after Bob Bradley reportedly said, "No, thank you."
