Terrence Boyd Heads Home Another for Rapid Vienna

He's big. He's strong. He's fast. He's 22. He keeps scoring goals for Rapid Vienna of the Austrian Bundesliga. And he loves America—and playing for the U.S. men's national team.

It's hard to shake the feeling that Terrence Boyd is something special. And it's increasingly easy to envision him in the starting lineup if/when the United States qualifies for the World Cup in 2014.

He has all of the physical tools you could ever want in a striker. He is unambiguous about his affinity for the country.

And he keeps. Scoring. Goals.

Like this one, today, that helped Rapid Vienna secure a result against SV Salzburg. Boyd is one of the 40-plus United States national team players who have taken the ASN Questionnaire, and if you haven't gotten to know the person behind the player, you probably should.

Also noteworthy, Boyd currently ranks 16th in the ASN 100, and—equally impressive—he is the 12th youngest player on the list.

Do you think Boyd is the real deal? Should he move to a bigger club, and a bigger league, this summer? Would you be happy to see him in the U.S. Starting XI in Brazil next summer? Share your thoughts below.
