THE 2014 WORLD CUP hasn't even finished but the United States national team isn't waiting around to get a move on the 2018 World Cup cycle.

It has already been formally announced that the U.S. will play its first friendly after the World Cup on September 3 against the Czech Republic in Prague. Now the Irish Independent is reporting that the U.S. national team will visit Ireland on November 18 for a friendly match.

Ireland, ranked 70th in the world and 34th in Europe, is a squadlooking to rebuild following an unsuccessful World Cup qualifying attempt for Brazil. Coached by Martin O’Neill and led by current LA Galaxy forward, Robbie Keane, Ireland will now be aiming to qualify for the 2016 European Championships. Also during this international window, Ireland will take on Scotland in an important European qualifier.
