  • Who ya got as U.S. Soccer's Male Athlete of the Year? Voting is underway. Choose from Michael Bradley, Clint Dempsey, Herculez Gomez, Tim Howard, or Fabian Johnson—but not Landon Donovan, who isn't on the short list for the first time in forever. Our choice is one of the two men pictured above. The only question is which one.

  • A trio of LA Galaxy players including Donovan and Edson Buddle are recovering from injury as quickly as they can. The Seattle Sounders' only chance to reach MLS Cup might be if the players don't return.

  • The U.S. finally reached Russia after training in Germany, and what a flight it was. Next stop: a very nice hotel.

  • Here's a video of Jurgen Klinsmann talking about the upcoming friendly. He pretty much says what you have almost certainly read elsewhere, but a picture is worth a 1,000 words and all that.

  • David Beckham and Tom Hanks helped honor Megan Rapinoe for winning a 2012 Board of Directors Award from the L.A. Gay & Lesbian Center.
