Clint Dempsey—No. 1
It wasn’t a pretty win by any means but the new ASN100 top dog showed his influence in Seattle’s 1-0 win over Houston on Saturday, setting up Obafemi Martins for his 39th-minute gamewinner. Working his way back from a hamstring injury, Dempsey found a streaking Martins on a counter, who shook the Dynamo defender out of his boots with an audacious spin move and goal.

Jermaine Jones—No. 4
After missing several weeks recuperating from a sports hernia surgery, Jermaine Jones could be cleared to play next weekend when the Revolution take on the Columbus Crew in Foxboro, Mass. Jones traveled with the team this weekend to Colorado—the Revs won 2-0—but was not included in the game day roster.

Fabian Johnson—No. 5
Despite some slip-ups early in the season, Borussia Monchengladbach defeated Hoffenheim 4-1 on Saturday and now finds itself in third place—the final automatic Champions League place in the Bundesliga. Fabian Johnson got the start and played 90 minutes at right back on Saturday. ASN's Brian Sciaretta uncovered this telling stat....

Alejandro Bedoya—No. 6
The 27-year-old capped off a whirlwind month on Sunday—which included a strenuous U.S. national team camp, two starts, and the birth of his first child—by scoring his second goal of the season for Nantes in a 2-1 loss to Caen. Now, get some sleep!

Tim Ream—No. 16
Bolton manager Neil Lennon is mad at Jurgen Klinsmann. Again. Speaking on Ream’s recent call-up and brief stoppage-time appearance last week, Lennon unleashed this: "I'm not too sure you can treat players like that,” Lennon said. “You bring them all that way, train for 10 days, and have two games, but get one minute— it's pretty poor." And this: "I understand the coach might want him integrated into the squad and doing a bit of training here and there, but if he's only going to play a minute of football, we'd much rather have him here where he can have some rest and train for a week with his club in preparation for what is an important two games this weekend." Ream returned to the Bolton lineup on Monday, playing 90 minutes in a 3-0 win over Cardiff City.

DeAndre Yedlin—No. 19
It’s always fascinating to observe a fan base and its relationship with American players. For Tottenham supporters—who are busy tearing their hair out over first-team selections—Yedlin has already been pumped up to near-mythical proportions. Truth is, the 21-year-old still has some way to go. He is, however, finally getting minutes with Tottenham's reserve squad. On Monday, Yedlin started and played 90 minutes in a scoreless draw with Chelsea's U-21 team. And because the match was televised, the TwitterScouts™ were out in full force. Depending on who you listen to, Yedlin is either a solid defender or an out-of-position winger. Proper or just a little bit shite. My verdict: He was OK, I guess. Eighteen-year-old Cameron Carter-Vickers, the captain of the reserves, also played the full match for Spurs.

Danny Williams—No. 22
Danny Williams did not feature for Reading in its match with Blackpool on Tuesday—a 1-1 draw. He apparently picked up an injury during U.S. national team camp last week. Who’s got "hamstring pull" in the office pool?

Terrence Boyd—No. 33
After tearing his ACL in January, the 24-year-old striker has already resumed light jogging with club Red Bull Leipzig.

Kelyn Rowe—No. 35
Despite getting outplayed for large portions of the match, New England came away with three points and a 2-0 win over the increasingly hapless Colorado Rapids. Forget the result—just watch this goal. That inch-perfect 40-yard ball from Rowe. That first touch and finish from Juan Agudelo (who has yet to return to the ASN 100).

Early prediction: there will be pretty goals this season. Lee Nguyen also opened his account during the win, converting on a second-half penalty kick.

Emerson Hyndman—No. 40

In case you missed it, check out ASN’s interview with the Fulham midfielder, where he discusses U-20 World Cup expectations, the qualification process, and his ascension with Fulham.

Brek Shea—No. 55
It was a bit more than a week ago, but why not re-watch this?

Brek Shea is always an interesting lightning rod for the American Soccer Twitter Hot Take Generator™. Because of his less-than-sterling record for club and country, the compunction is to temper every bit of praise with a corresponding amount of qualifiers. It’s not like it isn’t earned. B most objective observers would agree Shea has improved markedly since his return to MLS. Despite losing late to D.C. United on Saturday, Shea put in another good performance for Orlando City, including an impressive goal-line clearance that earned him a spot on SportsCenter's Top 10.

Jack McInerney—No. 59
From the onset, this match had all the makings of #thatssoconcacaf. “No blood, no foul?” Check. Wild vacillation between calls? Check. Histrionics of the highest order? Triple check. Central American home team down multiple goals in an elimination game? Oh boy, it’s gonna get ugly. And ugly it got. Alajuelense tried valiantly to fight its way back, but in the end fell short in its bid to reach the final. Yes—that’s right—MLS’ Montreal Impact is in the CONCACAF Champions League finals. Very CONCACAF-y.

Paul Arriola—No. 69
Club Tijuana’s website recently caught up with Arriola and John Requejo, two key members of the Xolos reserve squad and the U.S. under-20 men’s national team. Check it out.</a>

Gedion Zelalem—No. 72
