ASN’s World Cup Roster Creator Is Ready For You

Jurgen Klinsmann has some huge roster decisions coming his way, and now you do too. ASN's just-launched World Cup roster tool lets you create your optimal 23-man roster for Brazil. It's pretty cool.

YOU ASKED FOR IT. We heard you. We built it.

And now it’s ready for you.

Please check out American Soccer Now’s 23-Man U.S. World Cup Roster tool—a brand-new interactive widget that lets you tell the world (and Jurgen Klinsmann) which players deserve a place on the 2014 World Cup squad.

Do you think Julian Green should make the team? Fine. Do it. And then tell us why you chose him (and who loses out as a result of his inclusion).

How many forwards do you take? Four? Five? Six? And if you have to choose between Chris Wondolowski, Herculez Gomez, Mike Magee, and Juan Agudelo, who gets the nod?

What about the midfield? Are there spots for Mix Diskerud, Alejandro Bedoya, and Sacha Kljestan? No? Then who gets left behind?

Creating your roster couldn’t be easier, and if you are familiar with our popular Starting XI tool you will immediately recognize our custom-built drag-and-drop functionality. You just have to pick three goalkeepers and 20 outfield players from a selection of more than 100 U.S.-eligible players.

The technology makes it easy. Your decisions may prove a bit more difficult—and perhaps will give you some compassion for Klinsmann, who will be engaging in this exercise in a very real way in the near future.

AS AN ADDED BONUS, we will also keep tabs of the U.S. World Cup Consensus Team, a programatic, real-time listing of the most popular choices among ASN users. Also: If there’s a player who isn’t available in our virtual talent pool, send me a note—JGodfrey@AmericanSoccerNow.com—and I will remedy the situation.

We hope you enjoy this new interactive tool, soccer obsessives. Have fun!
