  • Campeones, campeones! But you all already knew that. Here are highlights to recap.
  • One of the best moments of the game came when J├╝rgen went poof. The range of emotions in that GIF is so great that the folks at SB Nation have one with a cursor, which you can move back and forth to watch everyone's reaction.

  • The saddest aspect of Sunday's final was, of course, Stuart Holden's first half knee injury. Doug McIntyre of ESPN captured the post-game reaction to yet another setback for the Bolton midfielder: "Because amid the otherwise happy scene, there was Stuart Holden in street clothes, limping around with a brace on his right knee."   • Aron Johannsson, the Icelandic-American forward now playing for AZ Alkmaar, chooses the U.S. going forward (ha!). While this announcement means nothing as far as locking him up, it's a start.

  • Sasha Kljestan's ear got annihilated by an opponent's elbow during the first half of Anderlecht's season opener. Ow.
