  • The U.S. women take on Mexico tonight at PPL Park in the semifinals of the CONCACAF Championship, looking to secure qualification for next summer’s Women’s World Cup. A win would qualify the team directly, while a loss would mean a spot in the third-place match. The winner of that qualifies, while the loser would have to face Ecuador in a playoff.

  • In the latest FIFA World Rankings, the U.S. dropped six spots to No. 23. Do what you will with that information.

  • Freddy Adu’s world tour may be adding yet another stop, this time in Sweden. MLSsoccer.com reports the 25-year-old could be free to leave Serbian club FK Jagodina in January and has drawn some interest from teams in Sweden’s top flight.

  • Everyone loves Jay DeMerit:

  • Timothy Chandler will likely sit out this weekend with a groin injury.

  • MLS Rookie of the Year candidate Harry Shipp took the ASN questionnaire.

  • New York City FC could have a January camp in Manchester, surely to help extend Frank Lampard’s loan.

  • Who would be in your starting XI when the U.S. faces Colombia next month?
