For a few minutes, it looked dicey. The United States U-20s fell behind Canada 1-0 in the quarterfinal of the CONCACAF Championship. Would it be another letdown? No, actually. Thanks to two goals from Jose Villarreal, and one each from Luis Gil and Wil Trapp, the Americans defeated our northern neighbor 4-1. Highlights here. The U.S. takes on Cuba in the semifinals on Friday without the services of Cody Cropper, Jerome Kiesewetter, Luis Gil, and Caleb Stanko. They are returning to their club teams. But who cares? The Americans are through.
