  • Aron Johannsson did what Aron Johannsson does and scored in AZ’s 3-1 win over Greek side Atromitos in the Europa League playoff round. A nice little heel chop beat a defender in the box and Johannsson coolly finished a one-on-one with the keeper. That’s five goals in five competitive matches for the Iceman.
  • After stating earlier in the week that he had received “intriguing” offers from overseas, Landon Donovan says he’d like to finish his career with the Galaxy. What might stop him from doing so? "Them telling me they don't want me, I guess."

  • Kyle McCarthy talked with Juan Agudelo about his impending move to Stoke City. As the transfer window winds down, it’s looking less and less likely that he’ll be able to make the jump until January. "Basically, I don't want to get into numbers or anything, but it wasn't much of a competition with what MLS had to offer and what Stoke had to offer," Agudelo said. "It's not just money, but it's playing in the EPL. If everybody was in my shoes, they'd do the same thing. I don't know anybody who wouldn't.”

  • Fabian Johnson says he prefers to play on the wing. We like you on the wing too!

  • A report from Eastern Europe says if the U.S. and Bosnia both qualify for the World Cup, we could see a rematch between the two countries in a tune-up match in St. Louis. St. Louis has a large Bosnian population. And that first game was fun. Let’s do it again.

  • AJ DeLaGarza found Bruce Arena’s doppelgänger in an episode of “Friends.”
