- Tesho Akindele is nearing a decision on his national team future, and will make a choice in time for the Gold Cup. The 2014 MLS Rookie of the Year says he’s recently been in touch with Canada but hasn’t spoken with the U.S. staff in a “couple of months.”

- Charlie Davies is holding out hope his national team career isn’t over. “I still want more,” Davies said. “Fortunately, I was able to play in a couple of World Cup qualifiers, and for me nothing really changes except the opponent.
