  • New York City FC signed David Villa on Monday, the first player in club history. Spain’s all-time leading scorer spent 2013-14 with Atletico Madrid, winning La Liga and reaching the Champions League final. He’ll be 33 when the 2015 MLS season begins. With Julio Cesar in goal for Brazil, we would see two MLS players if Brazil and Spain make the World Cup final.

    Frank Lampard officially cut ties with Chelsea on Monday, and rumors have him coming to the U.S. as well, potentially joining Villa in New York

  • Germany announced its final World Cup roster, with Joachim Low opting to bring only Miroslav Klose as a true striker.
