ASN Morning Read: Game Day in Cleveland

In Wednesday's main event, the United States national team takes on Belgium in Cleveland, Ohio. Good stuff as always. Elsewhere, the U-20s fall in France and Herculez Gomez gets the star treatment.

  • Get thee to the Mistake on the Lake or a television (8pm ET; ESPN) for the Americans' first game in months. A tough task, you say. Why yes, but a good one as well. Leander Schaerlaeckens also has a preview, and he knows of what he speaks because he's Dutch and spent Tuesday tweeting from the Belgian practice and it was amazing.

  • A highlight of the last time the Americans played in Cleveland:
  • The United States U-20 squad fell 4-1 to France in its opening match of the Toulon tournament. C'est la vie. It was a beatdown, but it could have been worse. Or something.

  • It's hard to overstate the awesomeness of Herculez Gomez, but we'll try. If a picture is worth 1,000 words, what are two Day in the Life videos worth?
  • Cleveland man, freaking Cleveland:
