  • It's game day, so let's get primed. 11 predictions! Tactical preview! And of course, our world-famous Starting XI tool!

  • More good stuff on Jermaine Jones from Leander Schaerlaeckens. This is what you call a money quote: “Sometimes the [fans] say, ‘What are you doing? Why do you get so many yellow cards?’ But when the others score the goals, they don’t say, ‘You made the [expletive] work so they can make the goal.’ When you play [as a holding midfielder], you know you have that [expletive] position and nobody talks about you, they talk about the strikers. But you make the most work for everybody and need to play them the ball to make the goal. That’s a part of what we do and that’s okay.”

Speaking of Jones, why was he up reading about himself at 2 a.m.?!

  • Clint Dempsey talks a bit about the "Deuce Face" craze that's swept U.S. national team games since the infamous moment vs. Jamaica in September. "It's something that I think is funny and enjoy at games. It makes me laugh," Dempsey said. "It shows that we have a sense of humor as a country and our fans have a good sense of humor." Indeed we do.

  • With another American in Herculez Gomez aboard in Tijuana, Edgar Castillo is a happy man. "We talked to the owners at Tijuana, they wanted to bring him into the club last season and they couldn't do it," Castillo said. "But this season, he's going to be on our team and that's good to have four Americans on our team." Tijuana is in the CONCACAF Champions League this year, so expect all sorts of MLS teams being scored on.

  • Elsewhere on planet Earth, there's a full slate of World Cup qualifiers to wet your whistle for tonight. ESPN3 will have the UEFA matches starting at noon, while beIN Sport has some CONMEBOL action. Might want to check out Portugal-Russia at 3:45 and Argentina-Colombia at 6:05.
