The guy in charge of FIFA's reform committee said some blatantly stupid and offensive things about soccer in the United States as he defended Sepp Blatter. In other words, don't expect much to change.

- Francois Carrard, head of FIFA’s reform committee, is not too fond of the United States. He says soccer is “just an ethnic sport for girls in schools.” Can’t decide if that’s more stupid or offensive. There was also some mention of how there shouldn't have been corruption surrounding the 2002 Salt Lake City Olympics because it was "in the heart of Utah, among Mormons." Additonally, Sepp Blatter is innnocent.
- U.S. Soccer announced some major youth development initiatives, notably changing the birth-year cutoff from Aug. 1 to Jan. 1, in line with the rest of the world.
- MLSSoccer.com reports there are plenty of teams in Europe interested in taking DeAndre Yedlin on loan.
- Reviewing the weekend’s MLS action.
- This is official:
