The unusual purge of players that has occurred at Chivas USA lately has a new, suprising wrinkle: parent club Chivas Guadalajara taking players. Mexican-American Eric Avila appears to be one of those headed south of the border, although neither side has announced anything official yet. “I’m very excited,” Avila said. “Guadalajara is a big team and just for me to practice with them is unbelievable. Luckily, they’ve given me a chance. Talk about an upgrade.
