  • John Anthony Brooks says he’ll decide between the U.S. U-20s and the Germany U-21 team in the coming weeks. We also learn that he has zero yellow cards this season.

  • Michael Bradley stars with Francesco Totti and some other Roma teammates in a new Volkswagon commercial, teaching them the finer points of car-technology-based English. If anybody could translate the Italian at the end, we’d love a hand.
  • Oh right: on the field, Bradley regained his place in the starting lineup and went 90 as Roma drew 1-1 with Lazio. The Italian club sits in seventh place in Serie A.

  • It's tense at White Hart Lane, at least according to Clint Dempsey. Champions League places will do that to a club.

  • The Seattle Sounders face an incredibly tall task tonight, heading to Torreon trailing Santos Laguna 1-0 in the CONCACAF Champions League semifinals. Eddie Johnson missed the first leg, but he traveled with the team to Mexico and should be available in some capacity.

  • Daniel Cuevas is back in training after the injury he suffered during the CONCACAF U-20 Championship. Herculez Gomez told him the Santos senior team was watching the tournament and players were impressed with the 19-year-old attacker. Santos’ coaches were there watching too, so that certainly bodes well.
