  • Jay Heaps heaped praise on Andrew Farrell: “When he has the ball at his feet, he’s willing to do things in the back that defenders like me never did. He’s so strong, good in the air, but for me the thing that makes Andrew as good as he is, his feet are so quick. I’ve never seen it before on a player his size. He’ll dribble. He can get himself out of a tough situation by passing out of the back. That’s just his nature. ‘I can do this. I can get by this guy, make a move here, get by one player and open it up for a [teammate].”

  • First Julian Green, now Gedion Zelalem? Steven Goff scoops that the Arsenal starlet is on the verge of receiving his American passport, which, of course, would mean he could line up for the Stars and Stripes. More likely, it means that he'll now have the option to one-time switch to the U.S. squad if he does play for a German youth team. Zelalem, 17, was planning to join Germany's U-17 squad in March but withdrew. Due to FIFA's byzantine rules, If he had played for them at the time, he wouldn't have been able to ever play for the Americans. That's all different now.

  • Foudy and Schaap and Woodruff, oh my.

  • Ghana announced its provisional 30-man roster for the World Cup, except they totally didn't. Oh well, it was fun while it lasted. Plus, it's always good to have a list of 30 names.

  • Don't worry, guys: Brad Evans has this guy on lockdown:
