  • Occasional U.S. men's national team member Juan Agudelo will move across the country once again, swapping MLS teams following a trade that sends him to the New England Revolution from Chivas USA for money. (The New York Red Bulls dealt him to Chivas last May.)

It looks like he'll undergo a number change too. The Colombian-born forward had not played in the team's last three games, appearing in six, starting four, and scoring two goals on the season. The Revs have scored a meager four goals in their eight regular season games, tying them for the league worst.

  • This just in, Jozy Altidore breaks his own news. Yesterday, he told Steve Davis of Pro Soccer Talk that Alkmaar won't release him for international duty until right before the June World Cup Qualifier in Kingston. Missing the May camp and subsequent friendlies in and of itself isn't troubling. But for a player such as Altidore who has struggled to ingrain himself in Jurgen Klinsmann's plans consistently, a little extra time to re-acclimate after the end of the Eredivisie season wouldn't hurt.

  • After a conversation with Tab Ramos, Jeff Carlisle of ESPN reports that German-American defender John Anthony Brooks could be on his way into the U-20 fold with the World Cup fast approaching. The competition begins on June 21, and the 20-year-old who isn't yet cap tied to the US has aided Hertha Berlin to Bundesliga promotion this season. The team will participate in a tournament in Toulon, France beginning on May 28. "There's been a lot of progress lately, that Brooks may be joining us for Toulon, but we're not 100 percent sure yet," Ramos said.

  • Aston Villa's players have spoken, and Brad Guzan has received their praise. The keeper won the players' MVP award and also the fans' highest marks for his performance this year, helping the midlands club skirt relegation and asserting himself as one of the EPL's best.

  • We're in the midst of NBA and NHL playoffs, not to mention the final stretch of the domestic soccer season in Europe, and Sportscenter is baseball-heavy? Surprise or not, A.J. DeLaGarza of the LA Galaxy is not a fan.

  • Sir Alex Ferguson plans to retire at the end of this season. Sir Alex, we hardly knew ye! Ha, just kidding. We'll totally miss you, though.
