  • Over at SI.com, Brian Straus puts together the top 13 American soccer stories from 2013. Numero uno? That would be "Dos a Cero Dominance."
  • Best goals of the year? Yeah, we got that.

  • Not appearing on that list: Jozy Altidore's exceptional miss against Cardiff over the weekend. Whoops.

  • Ouch: "[Maurice Edu] has had what can best be described as a bit-part since signing under Tony Pulis. He’s made little impact on the pitch, and is rarely named on the substitutes bench. The loan signings of Stephen Ireland and Oussama Assaidi, along with Hughes’ new style of play, has left Edu’s role of defensive midfielder redundant—and somewhat unneeded at the club.

  • Michael Bradley to Fulham? Steve Davis talks us through the possibilities: "If Rene Meulensteen wants to play three in the middle, then Bradley is a picture perfect fit as the linking man, the position at which he excels for Jurgen Klinsmann’s national team. So he would probably play more, which would sharpen his skills for the upcoming World Cup ahead. But would a short-term win turn into a long-term loss? Because Fulham lives perennially on the relegation edge, and it could certainly happen this year. And where would that leave Bradley this summer? Perhaps contemplating a distracting summer transfer during the critical time in Brazil? It’s not a bad move for Bradley, if it happens. Then again, staying in place doesn’t look so terrible either."
