There are fewer viewing options than usual this weekend, so maybe it’s time to take that camping trip or do some home improvement. But we’re not fooling anyone. We’ll end up on our couches watching soccer just like we do every weekend. When we do, these five matches will find their way onto our screens.

FRIDAY
Morelia v. Santos
10:30 p.m. (all times Eastern)
ESPN Deportes
It’s a pretty simple formula for these two teams. The winner of this match is through to the postseason. The loser (or both teams should they draw) no longer controls its own destiny. Herculez Gomez, this week the center of strange transfer rumors to Chivas owing in part to confusion over changes to the club’s strict policy to employ only Mexican players, will look to put that aside and help his current team continue its season.

SATURDAY
Aston Villa v. Manchester United

Brad Guzan will do his best to keep the current Premier League leaders off the scoreboard when Man U comes to Villa Park. He kept a clean sheet last week against Sunderland, but the weekend's opponent is obviously on a different level. Last week was a strange one for Eric Lichaj, who came on as an early sub and later was subbed off himself. Should he see time Saturday, it’ll be a good as a chance as he’ll get to prove he belongs in the XI.

SUNDAY
Manchester City v. Tottenham

What would a weekend be without Clint Dempsey? ASN’s top-rated player didn’t score a goal or get an assist in Spurs’ 1-0 loss to Wigan. At his current pace, that means he’s overdue for one.

Lazio v. Roma
9 a.m.

Have you been watching Michael Bradley at Roma? If not, you simply must tune in when Roma heads to Lazio for the Derby della Capitale. It’s Bradley’s first appearance in one of the heated matchups. If he plays the way he has been playing, you’ll soon see why he’s already locking up some votes to unseat the aforementioned Dempsey as ASN’s No. 1.

LA Galaxy v. Seattle Sounders
9 p.m.
ESPN
It’s not as though the Western Conference Final lacks intrigue, but Robbie Keane’s incredible form alone is reason enough to watch this match. The Irish forward seeks to carry his tremendous play into this tie with Seattle. The Sounders may have struggled to score against Real Salt Lake, but they’re still a dangerous team, especially now that they’ve knocked the playoff series monkey off their backs.

BEST OF THE REST
A-League: Wellington Phoenix v. Central Coast Mariners (Saturday 10:30 p.m., streaming on FoxSoccer2Go): Typically if you want to see American Alex Smith in the Phoenix midfield, you have to be up at some very odd hours. It’s likely you can swing this kick off, though.

Liga MX: Chivas v. Tijuana (Sunday 6 p.m., Telemundo): By now, you’re well aware of the American influence the Xolos boast. Getting a result against Chivas would clinch a Copa Libertadores spot and send the crew south of a different border.

MLS: Houston Dynamo v. D.C. United (Sunday 4:00 p.m., NBC Sports Network): United comes off a wild victory against the New York Red Bulls to face the Houston Dynamo in the first leg of the Eastern Conference finals. Coaches Ben Olsen and Dom Kinnear have handled their clubs expertly during the playoff madness. They’re only one step away from the big one now.

NCAA: ACC Conference Tournament Final (Sunday noon, ESPNU): The MLS Draft is just around the corner. Catch some of the league’s future stars in action.

NO U.S. ANGLE BUT...
EPL: Chelsea v. Liverpool (Sunday 11 a.m., Fox Soccer): Fernando Torres gets a chance to score against his former team in a battle of traditional powers.

La Liga: Levante v. Real Madrid (Sunday 3:45 p.m., beIN Sport Spanish): Save Barcelona, Levante is the best side Madrid has seen in several months in league play. Levante don’t score many goals but could shut down Los Blancos’ attack.
