IT'S AN ACTION-PACKED SATURDAY, with three Premier League games going on simultaneously, then a lunch break before the U.S. takes on South Korea in Carson, California. On Sunday, we turn our attention to Mexico, where Tijuana's assortment of Americans are squaring off against Pumas.

Saturday

Everton vs. Aston Villa

The second installment of Keeper vs. Keeper is set to take place, with Tim Howard looking to stop the splurge of goals from recent opponents, while Brad Guzan hopes his offense can keep paying dividends for his game-saving plays. After Everton's blowout against Liverpool, Howard and the Toffees have some damaged pride, and a diminished chance to break into the top four. The Villans enjoyed a great come back against West Brom in midweek action, and are inching closer to Southampton in 9th place.

Fulham vs. Southampton

Clint Dempsey has looked like a shadow of his former self with Fulham, but he continues to be a lock on the field, and maybe the addition of Kostas Mitroglou will help matters. Southampton has found itself on a pair of 2-2 draws over the past couple weeks, while Fulham has been plummeting with three wins and 12 losses over its last 15.

Stoke City vs. Manchester United

While you're watching the other two games on one or more computers, you can tune your TV to Geoff Cameron's latest match against world-class competition. Winless in its last six, Stoke is barely hanging above the relegation zone, but Cameron has been a consistent bright spot nonetheless. Despite seven losses through 23 games, the Red Devils are hanging within range of Europe, and are in little danger of dropping to the bottom half of the table this season, no matter how uninspiring it has been.

United States vs. South Korea

It's the culmination of the January camp, as Jurgen Klinsmann's troops finish off their winter training with a friendly against downtrodden South Korea, which suffered a 4-0 defeat against Mexico. The StubHub Center is officially sold out, with 27,000 fans expected to be in attendance to see Landon Donovan and Co.'s first non-closed door game of 2014. Expect to see a lot of substitutions, and maybe some national team debuts on Saturday.

Sunday

Pumas v. Tijuana

Tijuana's American crew has earned plenty of minutes this season, and this is a good chance to see them square off against the underwhelming (so far for this Clausura) Pumas side that has taken four points through its first four games. After finishing in dead last in the Apertura, Pumas could eventually find itself on the relegation hot seat if the team don't pull it together. While Herculez Gomez, Joe Corona, and Edgar Castillo have been getting the minutes, all three must feel very nervous right now in the World Cup year, as they have not been putting themselves ahead of their competition for roster spots on the national team. This short Clausura, already with only 14 games left, is going to go by very quickly.

MISSED OPPORTUNITY...

England: Sheffield Wednesday vs. Barnsley (10:00 a.m., Saturday)— Oguchi Onyewu and Brek Shea are enjoying strong starts with their new teams in the Championship, and they go head to head on an un-televised Saturday morning game. Would have been a good chance to see how Gooch and Shea look right now.
