  • Jozy Altidore netted another goal in AZ Alkmaar's 4-2 victory over FC Dordrecht. He seems destined for one of his patented "scoring runs." (Video here.) He has 21 league goals on the year, which puts him in a tie with Wayne Rooney and Michu. Is 2013 the year for Altidore? We certainly think so.

  • Also on the scoresheet: Oguchi Onyewu. The big centerback netted the game-tying goal deep into injury time as Malaga escaped Eibar with a 1-1 draw in the fifth round of the Copa del Rey.

  • Michael Parkhurst's agent Lyle Yorks tweeted that his client will join Bundesliga side Augsburg after the winter break. The squad, led by manager Markus Weinzierl, currently sits in 17th in the German league.

  • The United States falls one spot to 28th in the FIFA World Rankings. Brazil, however, fell five places to 18th, the country's worst ranking ever. Panic ensues.
