Sometimes when you have those two characteristics in a person and a player, you hope (he can come back quicker).”

  • Zach Loyd also remains out for Dallas while he recovers from his pelvic injury carried over from last season. Dallas’ final preseason game will be against the San Antonio Scorpions this Saturday.

Mauro Biello, the Impact’s assistant coach, told MLSsoccer.com: “He looks fine, 100 percent. He trained normally. We’ll see how he responds in the coming days. I think he’s recovered, and he wouldn’t be here if he were injured.” Pearce, who has been out since June 23 due to hip surgery, wasn’t called up to play against New York Red Bulls, his former club, but may feature against Sporting KC today.
