Here's what the U.S. soccer press release had to say.

U.S. Men’s National Team striker Jozy Altidore has been cleared to resume workouts after a full evaluation from the medical staff. An MRI evaluation of his right hamstring was normal.

U.S. head coach Jurgen Klinsmann is optimistic Altidore will be available for selection when the U.S. faces Costa Rica on Sept. 6 in San Jose, where it will seek its first away win in qualifying against the Ticos (10 p.m. ET, beIN SPORT and ESPN Deportes Radio).

Obviously, it's great news for Klinsmann and the U.S., but it does raise a question: Should the Yanks start Altidore on Friday against Costa Rica, or keep him as an option off the bench? If the game is lopsided one way or the other, Klinsmann could then let Altidore recuperate from the knock that kept him out of Saturday's Premier League contest.

And if Altidore sits against Costa Rica, who do you start in his place? Eddie Johnson? Aron Johannsson? Do you move a winger forward? Share your thoughts below.
