  • Last week Molde winger Josh Gatt appeared to reinjure his knee in training and has been ruled out indefinitely by the club. Molde manager Tor Ole Skullerud told Rbnett on Tuesday that Gatt has most likely torn the same ligament that sidelined him for past eight months. Gatt has returned to the U.S. to see the specialist who operated on his knee last year.

  • Speaking with MLSsoccer.com on Friday, Nürnberg press officer Katharina Wildermuth said that Timothy Chandler is “currently completing his rehabilitation program.” Chandler is set to return to individual training in the next two or three weeks.

  • Middlesbrough has set Seb Hines’ return date from his thigh injury at about two weeks. The English Championship season ends a few weeks after that. Not a great year for the defender.

  • Danny Williams remained sidelined with a swollen knee as Reading fell to Barnsley 3-1. Williams has not featured for the Royals since returning from national team duty in Cyprus.

  • Jose Torres had to be subbed off in the 32nd minute of Tigres’ 2-0 loss at Querétaro after ending up on the receiving end of a foul two minutes earlier. The injury to be minor as Torres was back in action Tuesday night for the team’s Copa MX semifinal against Veracruz. Tigres won that contest, 3-0.

  • Kelyn Rowe’s return in the New England Revolution’s 0-0 draw with the Whitecaps was marred when he hobbled off in the 89th minute with a hamstring strain. On Tuesday the midfielder posted this on Twitter:
  • Chris Klute is looking at a mid-April return to the Colorado Rapids squad. This could see him back for the April 12 match away at Toronto FC.

  • Montreal Impact defender Heath Pearce came on in the 69th minute for Jeb Brovksy, marking his first MLS appearance since undergoing hip surgery last July. The Impact lost 2-0 to the Seattle Sounders on Sunday and will face the Philadelphia Union this Saturday.

  • Brad Evans was back in training on Friday and traveled with the Sounders to Montreal, but he did not make the match-day squad for the win. Shaking off a calf contusion picked up against Toronto, Evans managed drills and ball work yesterday and, while this wasn’t a full training, he told MLSsoccer the injury “is the best it’s felt.” The Sounders next host the Columbus Crew.

  • Mike Magee made his season debut in Chicago’s 1-1 draw against New York. The reigning MVP missed out on the Fire’s first two game because of a hamstring injury and will hope to notch his first goal this Saturday at D.C. United.

  • Fellow forward Chris Rolfe was not a part of the Fire’s squad due to the bruised foot he picked up in the team’s season opener against Chivas USA.

  • While George John has not featured yet this season for FC Dallas, manager Oscar Pareja says his bruised knee recovery is “going in a good direction.” Pareja told the Dallas News this last week: “Yes, there’s still pain there and we’re controlling it. At the same time, we have to wait for that to heal. It’s taking a little bit longer than we want but I can see a smile on his face and that’s a good symptom.”

  • And teammate Zach Loyd’s hip strain? On Sunday, Loyd played 69 minutes for the reserve team against Chivas USA’s reserves. Loyd said this about the 2-0 win: “I feel stronger than I have in about a year so that’s a nice feeling to go out and focus on the game rather than how my body’s feeling.”

  • Both Sheanon Williams and Austin Berry have returned to full training at the Union this week. Berry strained his hamstring playing against the Revs, while Williams has been recovering from a preseason quad injury. The Delaware County Times reports that manager John Hackworth does not want to rush the players back too fast. Nor does he face any real pressure to do so since their replacements, Aaron Wheeler and Ray Gaddis, are performing well. Hackworth had this to say: “If those guys are 100 percent, then it’s a tough choice for our staff to make. If they’re not 100 percent, then we’ll probably be conservative because the guys that are playing have been doing well.”

  • While not quite 100% yet, Chris Schuler still played for the full 90 minutes in Real Salt Lake’s 1-1 tie with Los Angeles. Out with a lingering ankle injury, Schuler told the Deseret News this after the game: “It’s something I’m going to deal with for a long time, but I feel good and I felt like I was not limited at all. Our trainers, and the guys over at physical therapy ... have helped me get back to fitness.” Head coach Jeff Cassar added that the team will watch Schuler’s next-day recovery closely.

  • Also at Salt Lake, Nick Rimando’s back injury from the week before did not prevent him from putting in a full shift in goal. Real’s next opponent: Toronto FC.

  • Clarence Goodson returned from his right calf strain to play the full 90 minutes of the San Jose Earthquakes 1-0 loss to Sporting KC. San Jose, who have yet to pick up a win this season, will host the Revs on Saturday.

  • Lastly, Toronto’s Michael Bradley was held out of practice on Tuesday for further observation on his head injury. In Saturday’s 2-2 draw with D.C. United, Bradley clashed heads with United’s Davy Arnaud, opening a wound in the back of Bradley’s head. After bandaging the cut, he was able to see out the game, receiving 13 staples post-match. Arnaud had to go off since his cut was over his left eye.
