  • The United States men's national team will play Ukraine on March 5, but not in Kharkiv. Instead, they will play in Cyprus. That's a good thing. Blurb it: "After discussions with the Ukrainian Football Federation, we have decided not to play in Ukraine on March 5 and are planning to move the match to a city in Cyprus. We are in the final stages of discussions with Ukraine and the Cyprus Football Association to determine the location and kickoff time. We hope to have confirmation on all the match details by Wednesday."

  • In other American friendly news, Jurgen Klinsmann and the gang will play Nigeria in Jacksonville as part of the three-match, pre-World Cup send-off series. The game at EverBank Field will be the last of the trio. Official confirmation will come soon after the USSF finishes dealing with the fallout from the Ukraine match.

  • Wil Trapp, who has gone through a number of nicknames, is also a leader. The 21-year-old defender might even become captain of the Columbus Crew for the season. “He has been one of the guys I’ve been really impressed with coming into camp,” Michael Parkhurst said about the player who previously captained the U.S. U-20 side.

  • Michael Bradley lost a bet. Michael Bradley had to wear a Team Canada jersey. Michael Bradley is loosening up.

  • The exclamation point just slays me:
