ASN Morning Read: A Message Sent with a Sub

The United States men's national team coach isn't afraid to take a certain player out at halftime. Oh snap. Elsewhere, Geoff Cameron is a magician with his right foot and we love it.

  • Jurgen Klinsmann was sending a message to Landon Donovan by removing him at halftime of the United States' 2-0 victory over Jamaica. "Yeah, I was surprised," Donovan said after the game. "I certainly didn't play well, but I didn't think I was the worst player on the field." For the coach, it was "no big deal." That's settled then.

  • A love letter to the outside of Geoff Cameron's boot? Yeah, we'll link to that. Kudos to Mr. Armchair Analyst.
