  • Here's a fun fact about Major League Soccer compensation. Both Clint Dempsey and Michael Bradley make more than 15 teams. Landon Donovan only makes more than 13. In other news, MLS compensation is at record levels.

  • So next Thursday?
  • Will Terrence Boyd be on that list? You better believe it, writes Brian Sciaretta: "Boyd, 23, is red hot and his stock is soaring. The German-born American has scored five goals in his past three games, helping Rapid Vienna clinch second place and a spot in the 2014/15 Europa League." Plus, quotes from the man himself. Get into it.

  • Another game, another shutout for Clint Irwin. Sure, his Colorado Rapids didn't score either, but that's not the point here. Could Irwin make a push for the next-next in line spot Sean Johnson and Bill Hamid currently occupy?
  • Cristian Press alert. The U.S. women's national team forward writes about her experiences in Sweden, including Tony Gustavsson, the man who might coach the USWNT: "Tony brought the team together after the penalty shootout. He wanted us to keep our heads up and feet moving forward. It was in that moment that I first noticed what makes Tony stand out as a coach. He was truly a part of the team. Instead of being disappointed or angry at us, he felt the game, our anger, and our disappointment with us. The loss marked the beginning of a season that would take us, as a team, through 'Hell and high water.'

  • In our newest segment, we spotlight endorsements that could only come during a World Cup year. Here's Clint Dempsey shilling for Oberto:
  • Way to flash your unapproved underwear, Neymar. Some people have standards, you know.
