  • Clint Dempsey spoke to the AP, and talked about his form ahead of the World Cup and Fulham's current struggles. "It's been tough, but also it's been good for me, trying to get back to fitness and feeling good, coming off an injury toward the end of the season with the national team.” Back in London, he’s actually living in the same flat as when he first arrived in 2007, but admits, “It's lonely not having the wife and kids over."

Dempsey also did an hour-long interview with Brian McBride yesterday, fielding questions from fans. Check that out below:

  • Juan Agudelo scored an absolutely beautiful goal yesterday, his first in Europe. Watch it. Then watch it again.

    Jozy Altidore approves:

  • Former U.S. captain Thomas Dooley was hired as the coach of the Philippines national team. Ranked 127th in the world, the team is the highest-ranked out of the eight participants in May’s AFC Challenge Cup. The winner of the tournament qualifies for the 2015 AFC Asian Cup.

  • Sunderland’s Adam Johnson gave his take on Altidore. “There is a lot more to him than goals. Against Newcastle (a 3-0 win) he must have been a nightmare to play against. Genuinely, I thought he was awesome.” Positivity!

  • Field level highlights? Field level highlights?

  • Fabian Johnson will be leaving Hoffenheim at the end of the season.

  • Cool video featuring U.S. women’s team goalkeepers talking about how to deal with a cross.
