  • Alejandro Bedoya is almost certainly off to France where he'll join newly promoted Ligue 1 side Nantes. He had been playing for Sweeden's Helsingborg and considered offers from Grasshopper (Switzerland) and Heerenveen in the Netherlands but chose France. Smart move.

  • The John Anthony Brooks saga continues with Germany ready to call the central defender into its U21 camp. Meanwhile, Jurgen Klinsmann reportedly wants the youngster to play when the United States takes on Bosnia Herzegovina next week. What will happen? Come back for the exciting conclusion... sometime soon.right now:

  • Jozy Altidore tallied an assist in Sunderland's 1-0 win over FC Midtjylland. Here's a photo of him falling over and/or getting fouled.

  • Jonathan Bornstein alert! Jonathan Bornstein alert! The defender started: "Jonathan Bornstein was handed a rare start by Tigres coach Ricardo Ferretti and completed 90 minutes for the first time this season in his team’s 0-0 draw against Cruz Azul Hidalgo in the Copa MX on Wednesday in the Estadio Universitario. Bornstein played in central midfield for Tigres—with Ferretti resting players ahead of the Clásico Regio this weekend—and was smart in keeping the ball and spraying passes around in the Group 2 matchup."

  • In Miami, Real Madrid defeated Chelsea in the final of the Intergalactic Battle of the Best Soccer Teams in the World or whatever it's called. Cristiano Ronaldo, who may or may not be the real Ronaldo, scored a ridiculous free kick.
