  • Jason Kreis, who threw a little fit when someone mentioned this last week, is joining NYCFC as the franchise's first head coach. "The opportunity to develop the first professional club based in New York City was impossible to pass up as was the chance to immerse myself in the football operations in Manchester observing some of the leading figures in European football," he said. He'll get the full Manchester City treatment starting in January and then, presumably, start planning in earnest for the 2015 debut. Meanwhile, the team might have a stadium deal in the near future right by Yankee Stadium. Then again, of course, they might not.

  • DaMarcus Beasley is on the move. Maybe. QuerĂ©taro announced that the 31-year-old defender would join the club from Puebla. So, awesome. Except then his agent, Richard Motzkin, was like not. We raised our hands in despair and moved on. When the truth arrives, we will alert you.

  • Sacha Kljestan scored in the Champions League. Damn son:

  • Tarantulas and scorpions and snakes, oh my. Shut up, England.

  • See?

  • Stoke City is still in the melting pot for Juan Agudelo. That's good news, despite it being totally the wrong metaphor. Valencia is also interested in the young talent.

  • Tim Howard, calm, cool, collected in any situation: video platformvideo managementvideo solutionsvideo player
