A Jamaican Captain in England Leads his Club

The U.S. has qualified, rendering the final two Hex matches somewhat academic. Still, you need to keep tabs on the best of the best from Jamaica and Panama. But don't worry, we'll do that for you.

Jamaica
In the 2.Bundesliga, Daniel Gordon got a goal in Karlsruher's 2-0 win against Energie Cottbus. Wes Morgan captained Leicester City to a 2-2 draw with Blackpool.

Rodolph Austin played all of Leeds' 2-1 draw against Burnley at Elland Road.

Bolton Wanderers' poor run of form continues, and Jermaine Beckford isn't doing much better. He came on in the 62nd minute of their recent loss.

Chris Humphrey and Preston North End got the better of new Sheffield United player Marlon King. Both Jamaicans went the full 90.

Theo Robinson started for Doncaster Rovers. He was substituted out after 81 minutes in a 2-2 draw with Nottingham Forest in which Federico Macheda scored twice for Rovers.

Jermaine Johnson came on as a sub but couldn't save Sheffield Wednesday from a 4-1 thumping at the hands of Birmingham City.

Lloyd Doyley got back into action with Watford this week, drawing a yellow card in his 64 minutes of play. He was also booked in the 5-1 win.

Last week, I told you Adrian Mariappa is still awaiting his Hull debut. He still is because he's actually playing for Crystal Palace. He went the full 90 for Palace in a 2-0 loss to Swansea.

No Jobi McAnuff, but Garath McCleary started and Shaun Cummings came off the bench for Reading in the Royals' 3- 1 win at Derby County.

Luton Shelton was an unused substitute as Volga bea Anzhi, 2-1.

Marvin Elliott played all of Bristol City's 3-2 defeat at Swindon Town.

Panama
Roberto Chen sat the bench and watched Malaga earn a scoreless draw at Real Sociedad. He was in the same spot for Tuesday's match against Almeria.

As you know, the Ekstraklasa sometimes has teams playing a league match Friday and another Monday. Luis Henriquez's Lech Poznan had such a spell this weekend and got a win and a defeat. Henriquez played the full 90 of both matches.

Roman Torres picked up his fourth yellow in his past six matches for club or country and went the full 90 in a 0-0 draw with Santa Fe. He was also booked in Millonarios' cup loss.

Medellin won 1-0 Sunday against Cucta Deportivo, and Amilcar Henriquez went whistle-to-whistle.

Anibal Godoy made his second appearance in the Hungarian league for Honved. He went the full 90 in midfield and was booked.

Jairo Jimenez was an unused substitute for Elche's second team.

Cecilio Waterman started for Fenix and came off in the 75th minute as the team snapped a long pointless streak with a draw. Luis Mejia was the reserve goalkeeper.
